Graduate Student Interns Complete Fieldwork
Special to the Herald
(From the issue of 5/15/03)
Eight graduate-student interns recently completed fieldwork at Catholic Charities of
the Diocese of Arlington (CCDA), which has sponsored university internships since the
early 1960s. The interns, who are working at the masters level in social work and
counseling, worked in CCDAs family services and childrens services programs.
They did casework with clients under the supervision of CCDA staff.
A farewell luncheon was held last month at CCDAs family services office in
Arlington to honor the following interns: Mary Beth Algert, Sharon Betts, Jacqueline
Hartley, Donna Leake, Kathy Sickler, Sue Smith, Joseph Wittstock and Paul Yeager. The
students were presented with certificates of appreciation by David Cavanaugh, director of
Family Services; Mary Beth Bova, director of the Fredericksburg District Office; and Pat
Mudd, associate director of social services.
