Clergy Appointments


The Most Rev. Paul S. Loverde, Bishop of the Diocese of Arlington, has announced the following clergy appointments, which were effective on March 19, 2003, unless otherwise noted.

Pastors

Rev. José Eugenio Hoyos, from Administrator to Pastor of the Church of the Holy Family in Dale City.

Rev. Kevin J. Larsen, from Administrator to Pastor of the Church of Saint Thomas à Becket in Reston.

Rev. Daniel L. Mode, from Administrator to Pastor of the Church of Queen of Apostles in Alexandria.

Rev. Francis J. Peffley, from Administrator to Pastor of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Gainesville.

Rev. Thomas P. Vander Woude, from Administrator to Pastor of the Church of Saint Elizabeth in Colonial Beach and of the Mission of Saint Anthony in King George.

Parochial Vicars

Rev. Vincent P. Bork, from leave of absence to discern a vocation to the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross to temporary Parochial Vicar of the Church of the Sacred Heart in Manassas, effective March 21, 2003.

Rev. Paul A. Berghout, from Parochial Vicar of the Church of Saint Anthony in Falls Church to Parochial Vicar of the Church of Our Lady of Angels in Woodbridge, effective May 1, 2003.

Rev. Daniel N. Gee, from Parochial Vicar of the Church of Our Lady of Angels in Woodbridge, to service at the Diocesan sponsored Parishes of San Francisco de Asís in Bánica and San José in Pedro Santana within the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana in the Dominican Republic, effective May 1, 2003.

Permanent Deacon

Deacon Jack M. Ligon, from sabbatical to ministry at the Church of Saint Mary of Sorrows in Fairfax, effective April 1, 2003.
