Washington Post, sport an overall record of 13-2. In O'Connell's Jan.
21 76-64 loss to DeMatha, the Knights were paced by Dave Neal (28 points),
Marcus Ginyard (15), Jason Colenda and Rockwell Moody (six apiece). In
O'Connell's Jan. 14 79-58 win versus Cathedral, the Knights were led by
Ginyard (34), Neal (15), Wil Johnson (12), Moody (10) and Devon Brown (six).
The Paul VI boys, coached by Levi Franklin, are currently ranked eighth
by the Post. They have an overall record of 13-3. In PVI's Jan. 21
69-58 win versus Good Counsel, the Panthers were paced by Danny Sumner (26),
Art Dabney (16), Calvin Mainor (14) and Anthony Brown (four). In PVI's Jan.
14 76-49 win versus St. Mary's Ryken, the Panthers were paced by Sumner
(14), Marc Bolden and Jean Cajou (11 apiece), Donald Johnson (10) and Mainor
(nine).
The Ireton boys, coached by Chuck Driesell, sport an overall record of
12-6. In Ireton's Jan. 21 47-46 win versus Gonzaga, the Cardinals were paced
by DaeShawn Branch (14), Drew Gaskins and Chad Wilson (12 apiece) and Shane
Walker (five). In Ireton's Jan. 14 63-60 win versus McNamara, the Cardinals
were paced by Wilson (17), Branch and Andy Burns (15 apiece), Mike Williams
(eight) and Walker (six).
The Ireton girls, coached by Mike Hutton, sport an overall record of
11-6. In Ireton's Jan. 21 52-43 loss to Holy Cross, the Lady Cardinals were
paced by Becky Fernandes (23), Chrissy Sborz (seven) and Rachel Martin
(six). In Ireton's Jan. 18 84-17 win versus St. Mary's Ryken, they were
paced by Fernandes (21), Sborz (19), Mary Kate Curry (eight), Christina
Franz and Sheba Newman-Blount (seven apiece) and Courtney Cleaves and Martin

versus Stonewall Jackson, they were paced by King (23), Williams (15) and
Vargas (13).
