More than 250 college acceptances, more than 2,800 service hours and more than $1.1 million in scholarships earned characterized the 68-person Notre Dame Academy Class of 2005.

From scholarship athletes to National Merit Commended Students, the Class of 2005 is a diverse and accomplished group. When they arrived on campus just four years ago, the school had just fewer than 200 students. They leave it today a thriving educational hub of nearly 300 students. Their development and leadership of the student body during this time of growth for the school has been significant.

Catherine Struder, director of admissions and campus life, said that the current senior class entered Notre Dame "ready to take on the world — and that they have done.

"Throughout their time at Notre Dame Academy, they have turned into scientists, mathematicians, artists, musicians, athletes and so much more. These students have grown as individuals sure of who they are and who they want to become," Struder said.

Majors for the Class of 2005 will include: pre-med, neuroscience, aerospace engineering, health promotion, biology, mechanical engineering, education, kinesiology, business, law, psychology, art, sociology, electrical engineering, accounting, sports management, physical therapy, nursing, criminal justice, fashion design, computer science and journalism.

"We are excited to welcome the Notre Dame Academy Class of 2005 into our 900 strong alumni association," said Lisa Clough, alumni relations director. "These students will join the dynamic group of former Notre Dame Academy students who have gone before them to make a difference in the world."
