Capital Campaign: 'Rooted in Faith Forward in Hope'
Arlington Bishop Paul S. Loverde publicly announced in May 2002 the start
of an ambitious Capital Campaign "Rooted in Faith - Forward in Hope."
It is the first campaign of this magnitude ever conducted in the 29-year
history of the Arlington Diocese. The minimum campaign goal was $75 million.
As of March 30, 2006, more than $115 million had been pledged, with more
than $65 million earmarked for major diocesan projects.
The Campaign logo (pictured at right) was designed by Fr. Donald Rooney,
administrator of St. Mary Parish in Fredericksburg.
