The women’s soccer team at Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax collected supplies for soldiers in Iraq as a team service project recently.
The junior varsity and varsity teams together filled three large boxes of sheets, towels and non-perishable food items. The girls also made cards and wrote messages to the soldiers. “I enjoyed watching the girls get involved, and I especially enjoyed seeing the cards they made. It seemed like they really enjoyed doing that, and what a great group of girls we have,” said Janeen Westphal, coach of the junior varsity team.
