As part of the Music in McLean Concert Series, Eric Himy will be performing an electrifying concert at Saint Luke Catholic Church on Sunday, February 19th at 4:00pm. He will present works by Scarlatti, Debussy, Ravel, Chopin, Schubert, and Liszt.
Eric Himy’s playing has been described by The New York Times as “flawlessly poised, elegant and brilliant.” He has performed all over the world including in prestigious venues such has The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Recital Hall, The Frick Collection, The Phillips Collection, Teatro Amazonas, Salle Cortot and Salle Gaveau in Paris. After his debut with the National Symphony Orchestra at the age of 19, he went on to win competitions and awards including the Gold Medal at the 1988 World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, the Koscisuzko Chopin Prize in New York, and top honors in the 1991 Milosz Magin Internation Competiton in Paris. Classics Today wrote “There’s no denying Himy’s virtuosic flair.” Audience members are in for a memorable and exquisite concert experience this coming February.
