Bishop Loverde to receive Catholic education award

Arlington Bishop Paul S. Loverde will be honored with the Elizabeth Ann Seton Award from the National Catholic Educational Association. The award will be presented during the association's Seton Gala at the Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Ave., N.W., Washington, Oct. 5.

The award is presented annually to individuals and organizations who serve Catholic education. Seton honorees have a scholarship presented in their honor to a Catholic school student in the community.

Other 2015 honorees include: the Archdiocese of Washington; Robert B. Catell, chairman of Futures in Education and Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School; H. Edward and Ellen Hanway, chairmen of Faith in the Future Foundation; and the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education.
