On Sunday, February 7, 2010, the Universal Church celebrates the World Day for Consecrated Life. To observe this special day, Bishop Loverde asks the faithful to pray for men and women who have committed themselves to Christ by living the consecrated life, including religious priests, brothers and sisters, consecrated virgins and members of secular institutes.
Through their profession of vows, these men and women dedicate themselves to a life of service and prayer for the sake of the gospel. These individuals are a true blessing to our Church, glorifying her through their faithful witness.
Bishop Loverde urges the faithful to use this day to support prayerfully those men and women who answered the Lord’s call to live the consecrated life.
