The Hateful Eight

A sprawling, occasionally comic, hugely self-indulgent and long (183 minutes, including an intermission) vengeance tale best enjoyed only by Quentin Tarantino's most ardent fans. When the characters, trapped in a rustic Wyoming hostelry in a blizzard, finish some of the dullest dialogue ever put on celluloid, they usually spring into unexpectedly grotesque violence only because Tarantino evidently finds it amusing.

Watch out for: Extended bloody gun and knife violence, frequent crude racist banter, pervasive rough, crude and profane language.

Rated: L, limited adult audience; MPAA: R, restricted.
