Tomorrowland

First slide

Borrowing the name but little else from the futuristic-themed section of Disneyland and other Disney parks, this delightful science-fiction film is great fun for the entire family, directed and co-written by Brad Bird. A young woman (Britt Robertson) is recruited by a mysterious robot (Raffey Cassidy) for a mission to save both Earth and the eponymous utopia that exists in another dimension. They join forces with a former inventor (George Clooney) to wrest control of the future from a coldhearted bureaucrat (Hugh Laurie).

Watch out for: Cartoonish but bloodless action sequences and a few mild oaths.

Rated: A-II, adults and adolescents; MPAA: PG, parental guidance suggested. Some material may not be suitable for children.
