After years of service to Catholic schools, 35 teachers, staff retire

According to the diocesan Office of Catholic Schools, the following people will retire at the end of this school year:

At All Saints School in Manassas, Peggy Engstrom, who taught for 24 years, and Marsha Vice, who taught for 16 years.

At Blessed Sacrament School in Alexandria, Mary Lee Charles, who taught for 23 years.

At Corpus Christi Early Childhood Center in Falls Church, Mariamma Cheriathundam, who taught for 16 years.

At Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Vienna, Sue McFaden, who taught for 11 years, and Donna Dykes, who taught for 23 years. Adele Graham is not retiring but has taught at Our Lady of Good Counsel for more than 50 years.

At St. Agnes School in Arlington, Kathy Brown, who taught for 25 years, and Bonnie Beringer, who taught for 13 years.

At St. Bernadette School in Springfield, Kristien Rouse, who taught for 19 years.

At St. Charles of Borromeo School in Arlington, Joanne McGlinchy, who taught for 16 years.

At St. Francis of Assisi School in Triangle, Judy Perreault, who served for 20 years as administrative assistant.

At St. James School in Falls Church, Kathy Lowell, who taught for10 years, and Nancy Harrison, who taught for 40 years.

At St. Joseph School in Herndon, Kathleen Della Valle, who taught for 16 years.

At Pope John Paul the Great High School in Dumfries, Joseph Redding, who served for four years as director of finance.

At St. Patrick School in Fredericksburg, Sally Berube, who taught for 11 years, and Deborah Walsh, who taught for 17 years.

At St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School in Woodbridge, Gretta Wheeler, who taught for 28 years, and Josephine Clausen, who taught for 27 years.

At St. Thomas More Cathedral School in Arlington, Amy Fry, who taught for nine years, and Shannon Feary, who taught for six years.

At St. Veronica School in Chantilly, Laura Wood, who taught for 26 years.

At Nativity School in Burke, Donna Feary, who taught for 17 years, and Andrea Schempp, who taught for 19 years.

At Corpus Christi School in Falls Church, Marilyn Mitros, who taught for 32 years.

At Holy Cross Academy in Fredericksburg, Eileen Geary, who taught for 29 years.

At Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington, Bunnie Beard, who taught for 32 years; Albert Breuel, who taught for 18 years; Frances Garvert, who taught for 22 years; Margaret Lane, who taught for 25 years; Paul Ochenkowski, who taught for 15 years; Carol Renaghan, who taught for 25 years; Trina Sensenig, who taught for five years; and Marisela Zack, who taught for 21 years.

At St. Timothy School in Chantilly, Pat Kobyra, who taught for 16 years, and Sharon Hawk, who taught for five years.
