Lady Panthers double their fun

The Lady Panthers of Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax are all smiles after winning the WCAC championship Feb. 26.

For the second year in a row, the girls basketball team at
Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax won both the
Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and the Virginia
Independent Schools Athletic Association tournaments.

In the WCAC championship game Feb. 26,
Paul VI defeated Good Counsel 49-47
at American
University’s Bender Arena. Two days later, the Lady Panthers
took the VISAA title by defeating Bishop O’Connell High
School in Arlington 56-48 at St. Anne’s Belfield School in
Charlottesville. The win marks the ninth consecutive VISAA
title for Paul VI.
