Church in Middleburg (above), speaks to the Prince William
County Planning Commission (at right) Sept. 16. The concept
plan for the new church (below) was shown at the meeting.

The Prince William County Planning Commission voted
unanimously to approve a special use permit for the
construction of St. Katharine Drexel Church, currently a
mission of St. Stephen the Martyr Church in Middleburg. The
proposal calls for a new church to be built with an
elementary school on 28 acres at the intersection of Route 15
and Waterfall Road in Haymarket.

The proposal will go to the county Board of Supervisors in
October for final approval.
