Sr. Gladys Carmen Aragon served at Dominican Retreat in McLean

Dominican Sister of Peace Gladys Carmen Aragon died at ODU East
Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 14. She was born in CienFuegas, Cuba April 18,
1930, and entered the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine de’Ricci, now the
Dominican Sisters of Peace, in 1959.

 

Sister Carmen ministered on the staff at Dominican Retreat in
McLean for more than 40 years. She also served on the staff in at Dominican
Retreat in Albuquerque, N.M.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Reginaldo Aragon
and Maria Caridad Aloma. She is survived by her sisters, Maria Teresa Aragon
and Elsa Aragon.

Her body will be received at the Columbus Motherhouse Aug. 22 at
3 p.m. A Vigil of Remembrance Service will be held at 4:45 p.m. with the wake
continuing until 7 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Columbus
Motherhouse Aug. 23 at 9 a.m., followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Send
