Walking for HOPE

The pregnancy crisis center HOPE in Northern Virginia is sponsoring a Walk for HOPE. The walk is to gain support, awareness and provide alternative solutions to abortion.

Participants will gather at St. James School, 830 W. Broad St., Falls Church, at 9 a.m. Nov. 5 and walk two miles through Falls Church. The walk will follow last year’s route; including a stop at a local abortion facility to draw attention to the fact is a local problem within the Arlington Diocese.

Though HOPE’s first walk was in 2015, the organization has been in existence since 1971, offering assistance to pregnant women and their babies.

To register, participants are asked to donate $10 per person or $20 per family. Donations will support HOPE’s clients with counseling, adoption support, housing referrals, parenting classes, and cribs, car seats, diapers and formula.
