A message from Bishop Burbidge on Hurricane Harvey

Water bottles are seen at a Catholic Charities center in Houston, Texas, Sept. 3. More than 1,300 people were helped with basic necessities, referrals, emergency funds and gift cards to help them deal with the challenges caused by Hurricane Harvey. CATHOLIC CHARITIES VIA CNS

At this time in which the people of Texas are struggling amid the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey, I ask all in the Diocese of Arlington to join together in prayer and generosity to assist our brothers and sisters in Christ. Please consider how you might be able to help provide relief to those in need. May God bring peace to those who have lost so much.

Most Rev. Michael F. Burbidge

Bishop of Arlington
