Video: Consecrated Virgins

First slide

In 1970, Vatican II reintroduced the Rite of Consecrated Virgins Living in the World into Canon Law. It is the most ancient Rite for women in the Catholic Church. Women who pursue this way of life devote themselves to the service of the church while also working to support themselves and their ministries. They are obedient to the Bishop who meets with them at least once a year. The diocese of Arlington recently adopted a formation process for Consecrated Virgins in February of 2014.
