More than 100 people gathered at St. Charles Church in Arlington last Saturday for a Healing Mass celebrated by Arlington Bishop Paul S. Loverde.
The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta Federal Association, popularly known as the Knights and Dames of Malta, sponsored the Mass and reception that followed.
Fr. Gerry Creedon, pastor of St. Charles, and Fr. Richard Mullins, deputy Malta chaplain, concelebrated. Fra’ James-Michael von Stroebel, a religious brother in the Order of Malta, also attended the Mass.
The bishop and priests laid their hands on the sick and anointed them with oil during the Mass.
