PVI grad receives religious habit
For the Catholic Herald

Maggie Carroll, a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Alexandria, received her religious habit and new name at a Mass celebrated by Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick in the crypt church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., last week.

Carroll, now Sister Maire Ceile De, joined the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara, a missionary order founded in Argentina, last summer after she graduated from Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax. Her chosen name is Gaelic and means “Sister Mary, Spouse of God.”

Nine other novices received habits and 10 men received cassocks during the Mass.
