Eagle Scout Eric Tollis stands in front of one of the stations he built at the San Damiano Retreat Center in White Post.

Eric Tollis is a young man who set his sights on a goal and achieved it. Eric, a Winchester Eagle Scout, designed and helped build an outdoor Stations of the Cross at the San Damiano Retreat Center in White Post as a scout project. Tons of crushed rock were used to pave the path that leads past the 14 stations and into a resurrection garden where a statue of the risen Christ stands triumphantly.
Eric’s father, Joe, helped him build the stations. Joe is suffering from a serious illness and Eric honored his father by dedicating the project to him. He chose to dedicate the 11th station, Jesus is nailed to the Cross, as a special honor to his father.
