The Benedictine Sisters of Bristow are growing in ranks.

Benedictine Sister Katherine May, of Winchester, made her first monastic profession Aug. 31. She is now a scholastic, the stage after novice.

Postulant Jennifer Huynh, from Lodi, Calif., entered the Benedictines Sept. 1.

Following a Benedictine entrance ritual dating back more than 1,500 years, Huynh knocked on the door of the monastery. She did a live-in program with the Benedictines for a year.
