Parishioners from all over the diocese gathered to celebrate Hispanic heritage and history Oct. 13 at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington.
Mass was celebrated in Spanish by Father Jesús Muñoz, new parochial vicar of the cathedral, with Bishop Michael F. Burbidge present “in choir.”
The festival began after Mass. Latin American foods, including pupusas and carne asada, were featured along with Hispanic music, with cumbias and romantic songs, and dancing.
