Bishop Michael F. Burbidge has appointed three new members of the diocesan Catholic Charities board of directors.

The new members are: Andy Colón, a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Woodbridge and an attorney with experience in strategic planning, risk management and governance related issues; Patricia “Trish” McQuillen, a parishioner of St. James Church in Falls Church and an attorney with experience in financial oversight, fundraising, corporate governance, and real estate and contract negotiations; and David Wilson, a parishioner of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fredericksburg and a law enforcement veteran with experience in immigration, refugee resettlement, and adoption and foster care.

They were introduced to their new colleagues at a Catholic Charities board meeting earlier this month. Bishop Burbidge appointed each to a three-year term.

The board is composed of lay and clergy members who are responsible for managing all Catholic Charities programs in harmony with canon law and with the policies and guidance put forth by the diocese.

E.W. Sean Ballington and John Reiter concluded their board service with the expiration of their terms. Board member Julie Theobald succeeds Reiter as treasurer.
