National Marriage Week is Feb. 7-14. It is an opportunity to focus on the beauty of building a strong and dedicated life together through the sacrament of matrimony.

This year’s theme from National Marriage Week USA is “Pursuing a Lasting Love.” Inspired by this national movement, the theme will be: “Marriage: Source of Hope, Spring of Renewal. Pursue a Lasting Love!”

This theme honors the 2025 Jubilee of Hope as well as the third and final year of the Eucharistic Revival: The Year of Mission.

The U.S, Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Secretariat on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth has resources for those discerning marriage, engaged individuals, and those already living the vocation to marriage. These include flyers/bulletin inserts for parishes, an at-home week-long retreat for couples, a marriage-centered Lectio Divina, a preaching resource for clergy, and social media graphics in both English and Spanish. Each day of National Marriage Week, digital content will be shared on the USCCB social media channels.

Other USCCB resources that uphold marriage as a lifelong union of one man and one woman may be accessed through the websites ForYourMarriage.org, PorTuMatrimonio.org, and LoveMeansMore.org.

Prayer for Married Couples

Almighty and eternal God,

You blessed the union of married couples

so that they might reflect the union of Christ

with his Church:

look with kindness on them.

Renew their marriage covenant,

increase your love in them,

and strengthen their bond of peace

so that, with their children,

they may always rejoice in the gift of

your blessing.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
