The Associates of St. John Bosco is accepting applications from local Catholic Campus Ministries through May 1 for its Renewal through Innovative Student Evangelization, or RISE, Awards.
Through the inaugural RISE Awards, the Springfield-based, Catholic non-profit will award up to $25,000 to as many as three Catholic Campus Ministries in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia that plan and execute the most creative evangelization and outreach plans to reach Catholics on campuses. Winning projects must take place in the 2025-26 academic year.
Danielle Zuccaro, ASJB executive director, said the awards initiative, launched March 1, would “incentivize creativity and ingenuity in evangelization on college campuses.”
“Now more than ever the college campus has become the battleground for people of faith,” she said. “No more should it be seen as a spiritual graveyard, but instead, a ripe mission field. We hope and pray that the RISE Awards will inspire a new dawn of evangelization and missionary spirit on campuses.”
