The Appaloosa Roots Music Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary this Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30-31, at the Skyline Ranch Resort in Front Royal.

Founded in 2015 by the band Scythian, led by Catholic brothers Dan and Alex Fedoryka, the festival has become popular among Catholic families, known for its wholesome, family friendly atmosphere.

Sunday Mass is offered for all festival attendees, with Bishop Michael F. Burbidge as celebrant, at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31.

The festival features a variety of genres like Celtic, bluegrass, Americana and folk. This year’s lineup includes artists such as Scythian, Steel Wheels, JigJam, Screaming Orphans and others.
