This year’s Mercy Ride, sponsored by the Order of Malta to benefit the Mother of Light Center in Alexandria, raised $20,000. Members of the order presented the check to Bishop Michael F. Burbidge Oct. 31 at the bishop’s office in Arlington.

The Sept. 13 bike ride along the George Washington Parkway in Alexandria offered ride options of 6, 20 or 30 miles and doubled the $10,000 that was raised in 2024.

The vision of the Mother of Light Center is to uplift men and women in need in the community, aiding them in constructing lives imbued with stability, purpose and hope — all for the greater glory of God.
