Bishop Michael F. Burbidge will celebrate Mass at the Cathedral
of St. Thomas More, 3901 Cathedral Ln., Arlington, March 22 at 12:05 p.m. to
commemorate the 20th anniversary of Bishop John R. Keating’s death.
Bishop Burbidge will lay a wreath at Bishop Keating’s tomb in the
Cathedral Crypt prior to Mass.
Bishop Keating was the diocese’s second bishop, serving from 1983
to 1998. He died March 22, 1998, during his ad limina
visit with Pope John Paul II in Rome.
