More than 100 walkers and runners crossed the finish line at the
inaugural Catholics for Housing 5K for Affordable Housing at Bull Run Regional
Park in Centreville June 16. The race honored the late Father Gerry Creedon,
founder of Catholics for Housing, on the 50th anniversary of his ordination to
the priesthood. Father Creedon died from complications following heart surgery
November 16, 2017, at age 73. CFH provides sustainable affordable housing and
critical life skills training for limited-income families throughout Northern
Virginia.

 

Caroline Cusack, 15, from Fairfax, took the top spot for female
race finishers with a time of 23:34, and Daniel Eisert, 19, a parishioner of
St. Theresa Church in Ashburn, was the top finisher for men with a time of
18:44.
