Diocesan Catholic Charities is providing emergency financial aid
for rent and utilities to federal government contractors who live in the
Diocese of Arlington and were affected by the recent partial government
shutdown.
Federal government employees who were furloughed will receive
back pay and therefore are not eligible for this assistance at this time.
Financial assistance will be available for rent and utility
payments up to $500. All payments will be made directly to the landlord or
property management company, or utility company. To receive assistance,
contractors must schedule a 30-minute appointment by calling Catholic Charities
at 703/841-3830 or emailing [email protected] and a scheduler will call back to set
up the appointment. Eligibility and criteria for assistance is available on the
Catholic Charities website.
