The diocesan Peace and Justice Commission will host the
conference “The dignity of life in a throwaway culture” at Church of the
Nativity, 6400 Nativity Ln., Burke, March 23 from 5-9:30 p.m. Bishop Michael F.
Burbidge will celebrate Mass, followed by dinner and discussion. The event will
feature keynote speaker Helen M. Alvaré, author and professor of law at George
Mason University Law School, as well as a roundtable and Q&A with Alvaré, Bishop Burbidge
and other panelists.
