The Bishop Ireton Cardinals jumped out to an early 2-0 lead March 30 against Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, but the visiting Falcons came roaring back for a convincing 14-2 victory. The game was played at Lucketts Field in Alexandria.
The Cardinals are fielding a young team this season, as many of their key players are sophomores, including pitcher Erin Rockwell and catcher Emma Klein.
