Holy Spirit’s youth ministry collected more than 2,500 coats and bags of scarves, hats and gloves in an annual coat drive at the church and school in Annandale. The parish collaborated with Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services to spread word of the drive to charitable organizations.
Volunteers gathered Dec. 11 to sort the piles of clothing that will go to children, women and men in need of winter gear, including those devasted by summer floods in Appalachia.
