Jane Palladino, active St. Lawrence parishioner, dies at 99

Jane Clementine Palladino, age 99, of Springfield died Aug. 14.

She was an active member of St. Lawrence Church in Alexandria. Over the years, she taught C.C.D., was an extraordinary minister of holy Communion to the homebound, supplied handmade rosaries, prepared and served meals for Catholic Charities’ Christ House in Alexandria, helped with sacristan duties, was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and of the parish bereavement committee.

She founded and participated with the Fatima Prayer Cell and was a volunteer guide for 25 years at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington. Jane is predeceased by her husband, Frank. Her funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 28 at St. Lawrence.
