For the first time in four years, the diocesan Life Is VERY Good evening of prayer, morning rally and Mass will take place Jan. 18-19 in conjunction with the national March for Life in Washington Jan. 19.
Thousands of people from across the country and throughout the diocese are expected to participate in both events, which take place in the EagleBank Arena on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax. Featured speakers include Katie Prejean McGrady and Chris Stefanick, and musician John Paul Von Arx will perform at both events.
Organizers said the LIVG events are an opportunity to pray for the success of the march and to prepare participants to proclaim the gospel of life on the streets of Washington during the March for Life, which starts with a rally on the National Mall at noon Jan. 19. Many churches organize trips to the march, so ask your parish office whether a group is going and if transportation is available.
