Last night’s tragic shooting in Indianapolis resulted in the tragic death of eight people and demonstrated total disregard for the sanctity of every human life. In unity with Archbishop Charles C. Thompson of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, I ask all in the Diocese of Arlington to join me in prayer for the victims of the shooting, their families and all who are suffering physical and emotional wounds as a result of this senseless act of violence. May the faithful departed be granted eternal life and may our Risen Lord bless us and our nation with his peace.
