    USCCB Solicitor

    Directly manages and actively participates in all litigation and insurance matters affecting USCCB, supervises outside litigation and insurance counsel, and advises dioceses and their attorneys on litigation and insurance matters.  Researches, reviews, writes, and files legal briefs, in collaboration with other OGC members and outside counsel as needed, on behalf of USCCB.  Provides secondary legal advice to bishop-members of USCCB, directly or through their diocesan attorneys, on litigation, insurance, and related matters.  “First chair” federal or state trial and appellate experience. Experience in an “in-house” legal capacity, in a private, corporate or government environment. J.D. and 5 years of litigation and related experience.
