A sincere invitation

I've covered Arlington Bishop Paul S. Loverde for many years at many different events. A common theme in many of his sermons and talks is his love of the priesthood. He's been a priest for more than 50 years.
"I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat," he would say about his life as a priest.
In his March 8 sermon at Holy Spirit Church in Annandale he repeated that statement, this time to a church full of diocesan eighth-graders at the annual Vocations Mass.
He said those words with such sincerity, that I wouldn't be surprised if he started a few students on the road to discernment.
