Marymount University in Arlington has established a memorial scholarship to honor Pablo Enriquez, a senior pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Information Technology at the time of his death in a car accident July 2.

A valued staff member of the Arlington Diocese Information Technology department, Enriquez was praised by Kimberly Murphy, director of information technology, who said that although she only knew him for eight months, he made a huge impact on her, the IT team and the chancery staff.

“The program he pursued at Marymount provided him with a solid foundation for his work here,” Murphy said. “He was both excited and enthusiastic about his course work, and had a natural curiosity and desire to learn. Those are the attributes that I want to remember and honor through the creation of a memorial scholarship for him.”

Enriquez is survived by his wife and young daughter, his parents, a sister and a large extended family. Contributions to the Pablo Enriquez Memorial Scholarship – awarded to students majoring in information technology – can be made at marymount.edu/support or by contacting the Marymount University Office of Development at 703/284-1647.
