Summer institute teaches evangelization skills

First slide

More than 30 students and recent graduates from Christendom College in Front Royal spent five weeks this summer learning how to be evangelists. The idea for the inaugural Frassati Institute came from philosophy professor Mike Brown, who organizes the college’s mission trips. He wanted to deepen the spirit of evangelization in a setting where the sole focus would be learning how to evangelize others better.

Students engaged in classes for the first two weeks, learning practical Catholic apologetics and Spanish. Following class, Mass and prayer, students participated in applied evangelical workshops led by Amanda Graf, director of student affairs, and Tim Judge, dean of students. Graf and Judge are both former FOCUS missionaries.

After two weeks, students engaged in door-to-door evangelization in Front Royal and Northern Virginia.
