Bluegrass and Benedictines

A bluegrass concert performed by Irene Kelley and benefiting the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia will be held at Youth for Tomorrow Peterson Chapel, 11835 Hazel Circle Drive, Bristow, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the concert will go toward the Benedictine Sisters Jubilee campaign to build a new monastery.

Kelley is a nationally known bluegrass singer and songwriter. Her second album, released last May, was the top album in September on the National Bluegrass Survey.

“The Benedictine Sisters are near and dear to my heart, especially my aunt, Sister Andrea Verchuck,” said Kelley. “It’s my great honor and delight to be playing a show to honor and support their Jubilee Campaign.”
