When a plea for cloth diapers for babies in Haiti was made
by Mary Loftus, regent of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Anne
in Piermont, N.Y., a local court responded.

Court Queen of Peace (No. 1872), which includes Arlington
parishioners, responded by making 222 cloth diapers.

The court sponsored a tea to raise funds for fabric and
diaper pins. The colorful padded flannel diapers were sent to Loftus Nov. 4.

healthcare and lifesaving support to more than 15,000 Haitian patients near
Jacmel, Haiti.

Constance Donnelly, court regent, said 12 members and a few
volunteers helped support the project at various stages.

“It was such a joyful and rewarding project knowing how we were
helping mothers care for their infants,” Donnelly said.

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, founded in 1917, is
an international organization of Catholic women dedicated to perform deeds of
charity.
