Divine Mercy University will hold a ceremonial opening at the
Hilton Crystal City, 2399 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Arlington,
May 19 at 6 p.m. Arlington Bishop Paul S. Loverde will
participate with Baltimore Archbishop William E. Lori,
Washington Auxiliary Bishop Barry C. Knestout and University
President Father Charles Sikorsky.
Following the ceremony, Archbishop Lori will present the
final lecture of this year's Newman Lecture Series on
"Religious Freedom in the Year of Mercy."
Divine Mercy University expanded from the Institute for the
Psychological Sciences earlier this year. The university now
will house two schools: IPS, which includes the doctorate in
clinical psychology and the online master's in psychology,
and the newly established school of counseling with an online
master's in counseling.
