Congressman Chris Smith to address Vitae Foundation event

To celebrate the progress of the pro-life movement and to plan
for the future, Vitae Foundation is hosting a special event featuring U.S. Rep.
Christopher Smith (R-NJ) Dec. 5 at the Marriott Fairview Park in Falls Church.
A reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and the program following at 7:30
p.m.

Smith will outline the way forward for the pro-life movement,
according to Vitae Founder/Strategic Adviser Carl Landwehr.

“We have a lot to celebrate, but we must have a plan for what’s
to come,” Landwehr said. “This distinguished statesman and staunch supporter of
life will help guide us through what needs to be done in the next three years
and beyond.”

Smith has championed the cause for life in Congress for 37 years.
As co-chair of the Congressional Bipartisan Pro-Life Caucus, he has been at the
forefront of every pro-life battle during his tenure. He is a leader in
advancing pro-life legislation, including prevention of taxpayer funding of
abortions for federal employees. Additionally, he authored an adult stem cell
law for ethical treatments and research for cures.

The event raises funds to promote a culture of life and to help
reach and educate women facing difficult choices during unplanned pregnancies
about available resources that can assist them in making  life-affirming decisions.
