Adoration and drive-thru confessions were available at
Sacred Heart Church in Winchester March 28 where the faithful drove up, parked
and waited their turn to confess.
Portable confessionals were set up in three entranceways to
Sacred Heart Academy and Father Bjorn Lundberg, pastor of the Sacred Heart of
Jesus Church; Father Stephen Holmes, parochial vicar; and Father Stephen J.
Shultz, chaplain at St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, administered
the sacrament.
Adoration also was available inside the main church where no
more than 10 people were allowed in at a time, or from cars in the parking lot
where a monstrance was visible from a window in the rectory facing the parking
lot.
