Front Royal Knights to host Vocations Dinner

The Father Fasano Vocations Celebration Dinner, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus John Carrell Jenkins Council No. 7771, will be held June 3 in Front Royal. In its fifth year, the dinner has been renamed to honor Father Jerome W. Fasano, pastor of St. John the Baptist Church in Front Royal, who is credited with fostering many vocations. To be held at the Front Royal Fire Volunteer Fire and Rescue Hall, 221 North Commerce Ave. at 7 p.m., the dinner will honor seven seminarians and four sisters from the parish —  the largest number of seminarians and sisters in formation in any parish in the diocese. Father Paul Scalia, episcopal vicar for clergy, will be the speaker.

Seminarians being honored include Brian Accettullo, Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, Ohio; Philip Briggs, Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, Emmitsburg, Md.; John Paul Heisler, St. John Paul the Great Seminary, Washington; John Killackey, Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, Denton, Neb.; John McFadden, Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey, Hulbert, Okla.; Peter McShurley and Joe Townsend, North American College, Rome.
