House of Mercy Tea and Fashion Show

House of Mercy, a thrift store and food pantry in Manassas, is hosting its first tea and fashion show featuring donated wares.  House of Mercy is partnering with the nearby Stonewall Jackson High School’s fashion club to select clothes for the fashion show, and students as well as volunteers will walk the runway. Volunteers from St. Mary of Sorrows Church in Fairfax are preparing the food. Tea and snacks will be served on tableware primarily from the thrift store.

“The whole point is to highlight the quality of merchandise we have, and to get people to visit and see what we have,” said Jessica Root, executive director. “Hopefully, they’ll be coming back.”
