“Time to Respect Life” was the theme of the 18th annual Youth Apostles Institute pro-life poster contest, with 626 youths participating. The contest provides youths an opportunity to use their artistic abilities to express their pro-life values.

 

The Youth Apostles Institute is a Catholic community based in McLean that is committed to youth ministry.

 

This year’s winners are:

 

Senior Division:

 

First place: Margaret Mitchell, Paul VI Catholic High School, Fairfax

 

Second place: Schuyler Workmaster, Bishop O’Connell High School, Arlington

 

Third place: Jennifer Marty, Paul VI

 

Honorable Mention:

 

Nicole Franchi, Katarina George, Emma Hitchcock and  Eunah Lee, Paul VI; Christina Navarro, Victoria Rodriguez, Michelle Umail  and Gloria Whitfield, Paul VI.

 

Junior Division:

 

First place: Julia Kupczak, Our Lady of Good Counsel School, Vienna

 

Second place: Jasmine Moalem, Our Lady of Good Counsel

 

Third place: Darby Galbraith, Our Lady of Good Counsel
