Registration for the June 26 diocesan event “Arise,” a Mass and festival in thanksgiving for the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, closed today as sign-ups reached capacity limits, only a few days after it was announced on social media and promoted in an email from the Arlington diocese.

“Due to overwhelming response, this event has quickly met the capacity of the venue and registration is now closed,” said an announcement on the
event web page. “All registrants will receive an email with information about arrival and parking.”

The event will be held June 26 at St. Paul VI Catholic High School, 42341 Braddock Rd., Chantilly. The celebration will begin at 3:30 p.m. with a holy hour and confession, followed by a 4:30 p.m. outdoor vigil Mass, celebrated by Bishop Michael F. Burbidge. After Mass, there will be family
games, food, a bounce house, musicians and an illusionist.
